Minister Doris Pittman

Minister Doris Pittman  is a resident of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia and a “true force” for the ministry of the Gospel through her gifts and God’s grace.  She is a retired employee of The Portsmouth City Public Schools for over 33 years. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in January, 1987 and is thankful that God has raised her in victory over her illness “Lupus”, attacking her kidneys in 1984.  She has gone through several battles having this disease, but has catapulted in victory with a testimony as a witness for God, to family and others. She is married to Minister Wesley D. Pittman (her High School Sweetheart for over 32 years) and from their union God blessed them with their beautiful, miracle daughter, Doriece or Dj, a Kindergarten Teacher..

Minister Pittman was licensed on March  24, 2002 as Minister/Evangelist of the Gospel and ordained on March  24, 2007 by her former/deceased Pastor Edward Smith, Vision Life Skills and Worship Center, Chesapeake, VA.  As a member of Bethel Baptist Church since 2008,  under the Leadership of her Pastor, Rev. Joseph G. Casper, Jr., she serves as an Associate Minister,  Sunday School Teacher,  Vacation Bible School Adult Teacher, Women's Ministry Teacher, Marriage Ministry Leader/Teacher, Children’s Church Teacher and in other areas of ministry when she is asked or needed.  In June 2012, she experienced  Kidney failure.  However, on July 20, 2018...she received an unexpected call to be given the blessing of life... “A Kidney Transplant!”

She received her Bachelors Degree in Theology from Union Christian Bible Institute, Inc., June, 2013, and in 2014 a Post Degree for her Masters. She believes God has saved her for His Glory and what He wills for her life, while encouraging the life of others.  Her personal mission is to edify the Body of Christ standing firmly on the promises of Psalms 34:1-8 … I will bless the Lord at All times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth...
